TIPS WHEN USING THESE FORMS

Keep the following in mind regarding these landlord documents:

  • Remember that you will always need 2 originals of all tenant move-in forms (lease, inspection, etc.) - one for you, and one for your tenant.
  • You and your tenants should always sign each form in blue ink.
  • You and your tenants should initial at the bottom of each page, as well as any place a hand-written note, correction, or deletion was made.
  • Although these landlord documents are included for your convenience, it must be said that they are not a substitute for legal advice.

I put that last bullet / disclaimer in because laws vary from state to state and may also evolve over time. Therefore, I would recommend that you have an attorney review these free landlord tenant forms as appropriate to make sure they fit your particular situation.
