"The Robert Kiyosaki 6-Step Intro to Rental Property Investing"

Show Your Love

A little about the Author, courtesy of Wikipedia:

"Robert Kiyosaki is an American investor, developer of home cash flow solutions, businessman, self help author, and motivational speaker. Kiyosaki is best known for his series of motivational books and other material published under his brand. He has written 15 books which have combined sales of over 26 million copies. Three of his books, Rich Dad Poor Dad, Rich Dad's CASHFLOW Quadrant, and the RichDad Guide to Investing, have been on the top 10 best-seller lists simultaneously on The Wall Street Journal, USA Today and the New York Times."

In this shared video, Robert Kiyosaki and Dr. Dolf de Roos talk about what motivated them both to get into real estate investing, as they share their thoughts on what basic steps can be taken to follow on this path to financial freedom. Also described in his book series, Robert shares with us his earliest introduction to rental property investing: the game of Monopoly. By playing Monopoly, he learned at an early age the most basic formula for building great wealth. In fact, it is a formula that most of us are familiar with: "Four Green Houses, One Red Hotel." It is from this most basic understanding that Mr. Kiyosaki began to take a much deeper look at the rules of property investing.

ROBERT KIYOSAKI’S 4 GREAT ADVANTAGES

The video begins with a brief introduction to Dr. Dolf de Roos, and the story of how he himself was introduced to property investing. Then our two speakers begin discussing the "4 Great Advantages" to real estate as an investment:

And as "Rich Dad" Robert Kiyosaki explains, the best part is that the banks will lend you the majority of the money needed to invest in real estate (an advantage that is simply not there when financing business and/or paper investments).

Our two speakers then introduce the 6 most basic and simple steps on how to be a successful real estate investor:

SIX STEPS TO REAL ESTATE SUCCESS

  • Decide to be an investor – the most important step. This is the step where you will, first and foremost, commit to investing in your own education, so that you have the knowledge and tools needed to take your first step towards getting out of the rat race.
  • Find an area. As you'll find out, areas go up, areas go down, and areas even go sideways. This makes the area considerably more important - and uncertain – than the property itself.
  • Identify properties that seem like good acquisition targets
  • Analyze, offer, and negotiate
  • Put together & formalize the deal
  • Think about your options for property management

These six steps from RichDad Robert Kiyosaki are important to income property investing, and are crucial to forming a solid real estate investing plan as part of your portfolio of home cash flow solutions. And the beauty of these steps is that they are international...that is, they will work in any country throughout the world. Robert Kiyosaki is THE MAN! His Rich Dad Poor Dad book is what motivated me to start buying properties. I read probably 10 books, did a bunch of online research, etc., but it was only his book that prompted me to take action. After reading his book, it was like I put on a pair of glasses that suddenly allowed me to see the world more clearly!

Hi! My name is Robert Kiyosaki and I approve of this message! Seriously though, this is GREAT info! Thanks.

I read about Kiyosaki and watched his presentation on YouTube. He is very convincing and bragged about his material success from his investment strategy. I felt a little bit uneasy. I did more research and found some negative reports about him. For example, CBC (Canada Broadcasting Corp) did investigative report on him, among others. I would say be careful and do not listen too much to so called financial gurus who give promise of easy money and living large.

@ bas: I’ve heard those rumblings too, but I say, who cares? Like the author of this site, it was Robert Kiyosaki’s Rich Dad book series that got me off and running in real estate investing. Whether you think he’s a fraud or not, his philosphy and teachings are great, and they work. I really could care less what CBC or anyone else says…his teachings helped me. Period.
